Hello, I’m Larry Beam.
I am passionate about career development and helping leaders (and future leaders!) reach their full potential. Forward thinking with an optimistic view of the future, I am skilled in strategic planning, business development, leadership transition, problem solving, and long-term client and employee relationship building.
For over 30 years, I have served in senior positions in well-regarded engineering firms; as a principal and later president of Girard Engineering, and as a senior vice president and U.S. Eastern Region director for WSP, one of the world’s largest engineering firms.
I hold a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from Penn State, and am a licensed Professional Engineer, and a LEED Accredited Professional. I earned my certification in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University, and am member of the International Coaching Federation. I am proud to be on the Board of Trustees of the National Building Museum.
In my free time, I enjoy long walks along the river in Alexandria, VA, exploring museums and art galleries, travel, and spending time with family and friends, especially my cute little granddaughter!
